A Little Lost

I've lost my way a little this week,
I just do not know where the
time has gone, but I have still managed
to get some stitching time.

keeping up with my "star a day" challenge.

been playing around with the layout
of new york beauty, I think this is it,
or maybe a couple of changes to come.

and the hand quilting bug has bitten so
most other things will come to a stop or
at least a slow. This quilt top [table topper] is only small
so should be done in the next couple of weeks.

This week

A report of this weeks sewing,

yet another 7 stars

Large beanie finished with enough yarn
left over for a small one. Lucky I have such a
small head.

These 1'' hexagons that I was piecing were packed
away because I didn't know what I was doing with
them,. Out of the cupboard they came, one last
border sewn on, a good press, pin basted ready
to hand quilt.

I think this should make a great cover
for my sewing cabinet, if my
machine ever gets put away.

My Sewing

This weeks sewing has been
another 7 stars,

I know it's boring for you but I'm
enjoying them.

The borders or on the
english paper pieced tumbling stars,

ready to be pin basted and quilted,
I'm glad this is closed to finished.
Not my favourite technique, but I am
pleased I gave it a go.

Short and sweet this week but I have achieved
 quite a bit.

Saturday Sewing

This months sewing day seemed to
come around very quickly, maybe we have
all been very busy.

This month we had a guest speaker
Lisa
very interesting
I am very impressed with her fun quilt
1001 dalmatians

click on picture for a closer look

and the back
just as good as the front
and to think she might cut it up to make
4 quilts out of it for her grandchildren.
It certainly is big enough.

more show and tell
This is Hilary's braid quilt, all from her stash
and not a dent in it.

another beauty from Noreen

Well done Marg another bargello
you will be our bargello champion soon.

and even if I never make a quilt from this

Week 21

I can hardly believe it been 21 weeks since
I started my
'star a day'
challenge.
147 days 147 stars, At times it has been a
struggle but now I'm in a routine and am really
enjoying to journey.

This weeks stars

To  prove I really am doing
what I say I am, all  blocks and alternate
 blocks together.
Over 120cm or 48" square, so far.

Other sewing this week,

a new bag. Inspiration came from AQC

favorite fabric used for the lining, I even
 put in two pockets.

While tidying up I found this almost
complete quilt top. Only a few diamonds
and half diamonds to go, then borders.
Why when I'm so close would I pack it up
and put is away?
This week I  would like to finish the english paper
piecing, cut the borders and hopefully
get them sewn on.All the pieces were folded
up together so I won't waist time looking for anything.
