My Sewing

My sewing this week has been

the usual 'star a day'

I've been playing with little

 flying geese again. 

This time sewing them into strips.

Show and Tell 2

Last Saturdays show and tell

was so good here are a few more pictures

Chris has finished her Toy time Circus quilt.

She doesn't have that may finishes, so it is great 

to see this one.

Ann has finished her version of 

Mother Goose

in rich country colours.

2nd Saturday

Saturday  was our monthly meeting day

for Corowa Quilters.

The biennial quilt show is

coming up very soon so show and tell

has been great.

We started the day with this quilt that

has Sharron has quilted.

It's a shame that quilting doesn't show up in

photos.

Then we had the Deb P and Sharron show.

She may not think they are good enough

to hang in the quilt show, but we do.

They are all lovely.

This beautiful quilt from Deb S

A long term project but well worth the effort.

Weekend Sewing

I so enjoyed my weekend retreat

and proof that I didn't laze around and eat 

and chat.

The peace cranes are finally FINISHED.

All quilted and bound, and the binding is stitched 

down by hand half way. Waiting for a cool evening to finish

 the rest. Looking at the forecast that might be a while.

I think I can do foundation piecing in my sleep.

Maybe I did, I got so many sections sewn together 

Started the weekend with 2 blocks together

Now there is 23

I had better make a plan for how I want these to 

go together.  It is very busy so the original plan

 to put some plain blocks in could work very well.

Of course another 7 star blocks 

are done.

A very productive weekend I need this 

weekend to rest and recover.

Orange Day

Today Brooke Richardson

would have turned 21.

Due to the bad decision to 

text and drive 

we are not celebrating but trying to

make people aware of the dangers.

What can and does happen.

This is a world wide problem.

Please be aware or what you are doing,

what those around you are doing.

Weekend Sewing

What a great weekend away.

Lots of sewing, eating, drinking, some more

than others, laughing, swimming or sitting in the spa.

What a life.

So good to catch up with the ladies that I only see once a year.

Now onto what we sewed.

Night and Day was the workshop for the

weekend. With some very good results.

In two or three colour ways

It's always great to see the different colour 

options, and how they work with the same 

pattern.

A few new faces this year that will be back again

next year.

Thanks again for a great weekend.

Retreat

Today is the day that I'm off

for a lovely weekend away of sewing.

No washing, ironing, cooking, or cleaning

all weekend. Just delightful.

and of course some stars.

all packed up into this.

I do hope I have not forgotten anything.

I'll report back next week with my progress, or

will I just relax and chat.  Maybe a bit of everything.
